We are excited that the 2010 SALL season is right around the corner. 

For 2010:

In the fall of 2010 we look forward to the construction of a new concession stand in the area of the picnic grove.  The current concession will not be in use for the 2010 season because it does not meet code in several areas.  For the 2010 season we will borrow space from the Phillies/Pop Warner concession stand.  We will begin fund raising for the concession stand replacement along with our minor and majors field improvements and realignment.  If you have any ideas for our fundraising efforts they would be greatly appreciated.  The East Side recreation site is a wonderful place for our children to participate in baseball but is in need of a major face lift.  We currently have hired an architect for the concession stand along with a landscape architect for the fields

3) Printout registration forms at www.saratogalittleleague.org and mail to Ross Beckwith, 9 Cherry Tree Lane, Saratoga Springs NY 12866

REGISTRATION fees this year will be as follows:

1)      $85.00/child

2)      $60.00 for each additional child

3)      In addition, you will have the optional opportunity to support our fund raising efforts for concession stand and field improvement by checking the appropriate box on the online registration form.  Your efforts are sincerely appreciated by all parents and players involved.

TRYOUTS for the Majors and Minors will be held March 20^th at Saratoga High School.  Times are based on the first letter of your last name.  Please note that the tryouts are only to help the coaches select even teams and that EVERYONE gets to play.  The Bantam and Tee Ball leagues do not have tryouts and will be placed on teams by the league in late March.

Majors

12:30-1:00       Players whose last names begin with A-C
1:00-1:30        Players whose last names begin with D-G
1:30-2:00        Players whose last names begin with H-M
2:00-2:30        Players whose last names begin with N-S
2:30-3:00        Players whose last names begin with T-Z

Minors

3:30-4:00         Players whose last names begin with A-C
4:00-4:30         Players whose last names begin with D-G
4:30-5:00         Players whose last names begin with H-M
5:00-5:30         Players whose last names begin with N-S
5:30-6:00         Players whose last names begin with T-Z

TEAM SELECTION will occur the week of March 22nd and players will be notified by their coaches the week of March 29th.  Team practices will start on or about April 1^st.

OPENING DAY planning is under way with the initial games starting Monday April 19th and the formal ceremonies on Saturday April 24th. 

We are ready for an exciting season and we thank the families for their continued volunteerism and, of course, the players for their love of the game.
